Apparently the White House referred to Christmas Trees as Holiday Trees for the first time this year which prompted CBS presenter, Ben Stein, to present this piece which I would like to share with you. I think it applies just as much to many countries as it does to America.

When I say 'new', I mean newly posted on the site. The video was recorded in 1995 shortly after the synagogue moved to its current home in Wanstead. Enjoy!

Sukkat Shalom synagogue in Wanstead was featured on the “Heaven & Earth Show” TV programme on BBC1 on Sunday 25th June 2007.

The programme included interviews with Sukkat Shalom's then Honorary Secretary, Frank Godson and Rabbi David Hulbert. Michael Portillo conducted the interviews and the programme also featured various activities in the shul building i.e the cheder children and the “choir”.

The synagogue was selected as a “hidden gem” from an architectural point of view and because of its recent history."
