Ella Dalton—Baby Blessing

Today was a very special day for us as relatives and friends joined the congregation for our daughter Ella's Baby Blessing. We arrived at Shul feeling anxious as with any toddler they are unpredictable and our little girl is no exception.

The build up to the occasion was mixed with the usual concerns. Have I ordered enough Danish Pastries, what toppings shall we have on the bridge rolls, and will Ella entertain the congregation as she runs around the shul like a whippet. Yes to all three, plenty of Danish pastries, the bridge rolls were all eaten so there must have been a good choice of toppings, and yes yes yes Ella did entertain and brought a smile to the congregation as she shouted "I can see the Rabbi". This occurred as she was called up to be blessed with the Hebrew name Yitka Bala.

Ella’s family would like to thank the shul for welcoming us with warmth and for everybody's help in making the day a memory to treasure.
