Weddings
The synagogue conducts marriages in its beautiful Grade 2 listed building. We have a beautiful chupah and a fine group of singers who come together for the occasion. You have to be a member of the synagogue for 1 year before a wedding can take place.
The synagogue can also be hired for a wedding function. Please contact the administrator on 020 8530 3345 or at enquiries@sukkatshalom.org.uk.

Building Exterior
Our building has quite a history. It was originally the children's chapel of the adjacent Merchant Seamans' Orphan Asylum. Later on, the asylum was turned into a hospital. The hospital closed in 1986 and was subsequently turned into apartments. Thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, we were able to convert the chapel into a synagogue in 1995. The building is Grade II listed.

Regular Guest Rabbis
Whilst we are recruiting for a permanent Rabbi, we have several guest Rabbis who take the occasional service. They include Rabbi Howard Cooper and Rabbi Barbara Borts.
Student Rabbi Larry Becker conducts services from time to time and Rabbi Henry Goldstein often makes a guest appearance.
We also welcome back our former Rabbi, Dr. David Hulbert, from time to time.
