Sukkat Shalom Reform Synagogue

The synagogue conducts marriages in its beautiful Grade 2 listed building. For this purpose we have a beautiful chuppah , a fine group of singers if required and an organist who all come together for the occasion. You have to be a member of the synagogue for at least 6 months before a wedding can take place.

Adrian and Eve Binns had a Chuppah in the synagogue together with a Baby Blessing for Remy.

The celebration was attended by family and friends.

Eve's father Leslie is a member of SWESRS choir so the SWESRS choir sang at the wedding and Eve's father Leslie sang the Cheva Berachot.

Rabbi Larry Becker officiated with the assistance of Jocelyn Shepherd.

Congratulations to Philip Tuhill & Caroline McNamara on the occasion of their son Adam marrying Sophie on Saturday 15th January 2011.

Tina Hine and Jonathon Weinberg were married by Rabbi Larry Becker on Sunday 5th December.

Tracey Pedro sang and they had 14 friends recite the Sheva Berachot both in English and Hebrew.

Debra and Simon were married on Sunday 29th August 2010 at their home in Epping Essex

Rabbi Larry Becker of Sukkat Shalom Reform Synagogue officiated and Sylvie Sugarman was the Marriage Registrar.

On Sunday 29th August 2010 Rebecca Cohen Married Josh Gershon at West London Synagogue. Rabbi Larry Becker of Sukkat Shalom Reform Synagogue officiated. The Cohen family have been members of the synagogue for many years with Rebecca's father Mitch being a past Chair of Council. Rebecca was Bat Mitzvah at Sukkat Shalom and taught for many years in our Cheder.

The choir of West London Synagogue sang beautifully and Frank Godson sang the Cheva Berachot.

Jocelyn Shepherd was the Marriage Registrar on the day.

Victoria Crooks and Howard Kovler were married at Quendons in Essex on Sunday 11th July 2010.

The service took place under the auspices of Sukkat Shalom Reform Synagogue and was conducted by Rabbi Larry Becker who was assisted by Sylvie Sugarman our Marriage Secretary.

Marylin Daniels Garcia sang various pieces during the service and Frank Godson sang the Cheva Berachot.

On Sunday 30th May 2010 Amy Sugarman married Adam Turtle at Slaugham Manor Haywards Heath West Sussex. Both Amy and Adam have been members of the synagogue for some time. They met on the Gold Coast in Australia a few years ago.

The wedding was conducted by Rabbi Larry Becker with Jocelyn Shepherd officiating as Marriage Secretary. The chuppah took place in the grounds of a ruined manor house. Over 200 guests attended and witnessed the ceremony. Tracy Pedro sang for part of the service with the bride's father Simon Sugarman singing the Cheva Berachot.

On Sunday 13th December 2009 Rabbi Larry Becker officiated at the wedding of Jennifer Fitz-John and Nitzan Lazar.

Jennifer joined the synagogue in September 2007 and her new husband Nitzan, who is Israeli joined, earlier this year.

Marylin Daniels Garcia sang the various choral pieces and she was accompanied by David Silcoff on the organ.

Frank Godson officiated as the Wedding Organiser and sang the Cheva Berachot.

Jocelyn Shepherd was the Marriage Secretary on the day.

Jennifer looked beautiful in a lovely white Gown and arrived in a white Limousine.

Sarah Brody & Josh Larm were married on Sunday 7th December 2009.

The venue was Stapleford Park in Leicestershire.

The Chuppah was under the auspices of Sukkat Shalom Reform Synagogue with Rabbi Henry Goldstein officiating. Rabbi Goldstein was selected by the couple because he conducted Josh’s Barmitzvah at SWESRS.

Sue Barnett officiated as Marriage Secretary, Tracy Pedro sang passages from the wedding service whilst Frank Godson sang the Cheva Berachot.

All 3 together with their husbands and wife are close friends of the families.

Hannah Sendrove and Glenn Lethbridge were married in the synagogue by Rabbi Larry Becker on Sunday 3rd May 2009

On Sunday 24th March Jo & Antony Twyman were married under the Chuppah by Rabbi Larry Becker.

A Klezmer violinist played before the service began and the Cheva Berachot were recited or sung by friends of the couple.

The evening concluded with a meal and dancing to a Klezmer band
