The synagogue Annual General Meeting will be held on this evening in the synagogue

Tuesday 18th February was just an ordinary day in the life of the community.

But....just to give you a flavour of how much work some of our members put in on your behalf, this is how Jocelyn Shepherd our Chair of Council spent her day.

She arrived at the synagogue at 10.00am. Spent some time dealing with the company that services our fire extinguishers. She then spent some considerable amount of time with Krypto who were in to service the alarm system and install Red Care.

Even though we now have a Rabbi it is sometimes difficult to provide good support and help to members of the community.

There are a number of volunteers in the community that will help if we are made aware of any problems.

After the Annual General in November 2007 a Special meeting was held in order to propose and a elect a member of the synagogue as Honorary Life President

The chair of Council convened the meeting and spoke as follows “ Its not too often that one gets to do something really nice for someone, all too often we moan or complain about people. On this occasion I have not slept for two nights with excitement of what I am about to do now.
