Tu Bishvat

There will be  a Tu Bishvat Tree Planting and Hedgerow planting day for Cheder children and their parents on Sunday 16th January 2022  at 10am to 12pm

This will be a great opportunity for families to engage with the idea of the Woodland Cemetery and to feel that they have a personal stake in it. Whilst at the same time teaching children what the New Year for Trees is all about, and showing them that they can improve the world just by planting a small sapling.

If you are interested in attending please let Mitzi Kalinsky know who is coming along and how many children you expect to bring along.  The JJBS will provide hot drinks and fruit juice, and a couple of Tu Bishvat songs.

The Tashlich service was held in Wanstead Park on 1st Day Rosh Hashanah.

About 30 + attended with Rabbi Tali Artman Partock taking the service.  The children had fun in the extremely clean and clear

water.  Much bread was thrown together with our sins for the year.

Most of those who attended returned to the shul in Hermon Hill for tea, cakes and general refreshments.

A lovely day was had by all.  The weather was very kind to us
